A modern Irish restaurant in Westport

Frankie is a member of Euro-toques – the European Community of Chefs & Cooks

He is therefore committed to sourcing locally and supporting small food producers wherever possible. He’s built up a strong network of suppliers. Many of them, like Ballylisk of Armagh, Harnett’s Oils and Lough Neagh smoked eel, come from north of the border, but he’s also a big fan of Connaught producers like Kelly’s of Newport and Croagh Patrick Seafoods.

THE SUPPLIERS
Silke Cropp is a long time supplier of her Corleggy cheese from Cavan.
Frankie takes her signature cheese and the gloriously-named Cavanbert. The breads at An Port Mór Restaurant are all made in-house, as are the desserts. Other suppliers include Bean West Coffee, Burke’s Fruit and Veg, Cabot and Co, Achill Mountain Lamb, Fior Uisce and Starcrest Seafoods
He loves big, robust, earthy flavours and his fortes are meat and seafood.
